Bournemouth Airport

Just minutes away from the city’s hotels and golf courses, Bournemouth Airport (BOH) is one of the most adaptable resources of southern England. Railways, Channel sea ports and an easily reachable motorway network are all close at hand, making this facility a chief departure point to destinations in Europe. The airport is also a favoured car rental base from which to see the town’s sights and travel around the lovely countryside of Dorset.

There is one terminal at Bournemouth Airport providing check-in desks in the main entrance hall, while the Arrivals hall is located on the right of the building. Services for travellers include a bureau de change as well as a post-box in the terminal. Car rental from major rental agencies is on hand but prearranged online booking is recommended.

For shopping, the Zone retail outlet offers everything from toys to perfumes, and in the departures lounge, you will find several duty-free shops with an assortment of cosmetics and perfume, confectionery, alcohol, and cigarettes. In addition, the terminal building features disabled friendly restrooms, wide aisles and low counters. There is a daily bus service available that runs every two hours, with the A1 operating from the airport to Bournemouth Square and Bournemouth Interchange (the town’s bus and rail station); the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. The nearest rail station is Christchurch (around four miles from the airport) and is easily accessible by the A1 bus or taxi.

The airport is connected to Bournemouth via the B3073 from Hurn, which connects to the A338 from Ringwood. This route is simple to follow by Bournemouth Airport rental car, with most people preferring to make their onward journeys by rental car for maximum convenience.
