Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, US. As the 16th busiest airport in the US, the airport enjoys over two million international passengers and 12 million regional passengers a year. The airport serves the entire Charlotte region and is an ideal base for car rental.

Charlotte Airport has one terminal with five concourses operating over 600 daily flights. Travellers are treated to a host of passenger services at the airport including a wide variety of food and beverage options, gift shops and business centres. The airport currently has eight car rental suppliers to choose from. While all car rental counters are located on the ground level, it is still recommended to book in advance.

Other services at the airport include the CLT business centre, special need services, wireless Internet and tourist information counters. Hotel/motel courtesy vehicles are located on the ground level of the airport near the baggage claim area. Customers have the option of pre-arranging private shuttle services that transfer from the airport to surrounding counties.

The most direct route to the airport is from Billy Graham Parkway via Exit 33. The Josh Birmingham Parkway leads directly to the airport. Car rental is useful for navigating the Parkway and other routes to and from the airport.
