Frankfurt Hahn Airport

Frankfurt Hahn Airport is an international passenger airport serving the Mosel and Rhine wine-producing districts of Germany. Annually, it handles more than three million passengers flying to different destinations in around 12 countries, mostly European nations. The airport’s largest client is the Ireland’s budget airline, Ryan Air, which in itself has 19 destination cities. Frankfurt Hahn Airport also serves as a car hire depot for Frankfurt and most of Germany’s wine producing towns.

There used to be two terminals at the Frankfurt Hahn Airport but these were merged in 2004 to create more room for facilities, shops, and dining venues. Among the present facilities in the terminal are an ATM, a currency exchange counter, and a bank.

Shops and restaurants are also housed in the said terminal. Passengers’ choices of dining venues include Gusto Wine and Delicacies while shopping centres include several souvenir shops and a duty-free store for international travellers.

Frankfurt Hahn Airport also has a business conference centre, which is ideally located 1,500 metres from the main terminal building. This conference facility has a parking space, a cafeteria, and 12 well-equipped seminar rooms.

Other services offered by the airport include facilities for physically challenged travellers, an information desk, and car hire collection desks. A popular car hire depot, the airport hosts several car rental companies from which car hire can be easily arranged online. The trip to the Frankfurt by car hire is approximately one a half hours via the B50, A61, A60, and A66 motorways. Roads from the airport leading to the Mosel and Rhine wine producing regions are also well marked and easy to follow.
