Philadelphia Airport

Located in the north-east part of the United States, the second capital, as it is also known, is a great gateway to major cities of the eastern coast. You can arrive directly from Europe or Asia to Philadelphia Airport. Conveniently located only five miles from the city centre, the airport gives great opportunities to easily access the city of ‘brotherly love’.

Though the city centre is conveniently visited on foot, you can choose to rental a car when arriving in the city, so that you will have easy access to the nearby activities. Philadelphia is famous for its historic buildings and its fine architecture, and will therefore please those eager to know more about their past but also future.

Major sites in Philadelphia include the National Historic Park, the Independence Hall (where the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were signed) and the Liberty Bell Pavilion. Stroll down Elfreth’s Alley and you will be impressed by all the historic homes here.

Museums are numerous in Philadelphia with the Franklin Institute Science Museum and Futures Center and the Afro-American Historical and Cultural Museum. Nightlife is very lively and fun in Philadelphia, with clubs, restaurants, and cafés located in Rittenhouse Square and nearby 18th Street.

If you want some time out of Philadelphia, you can drive your car to the Pennsylvania Dutch Country where an Amish community lives. You may also head to the Delaware Water Gap that features exceptional spots for hiking, canoeing and sightseeing.
