Seattle Airport

Seattle Airport is situated just 12 miles south of the city and is currently undergoing a US$3 billion facelift. The renovations have affected access to the main terminal but both domestic and international flights to and from the airport are unaffected.

The main terminal is the primary building but there are also two satellite buildings known as the North Satellite and the South Satellite, both of which are connected by frequent train services.

Facilities at Seattle Airport include bureaux de change, help desks, ATMs, post boxes, postal services, dining and a business centre. Dining options include coffee shops in the baggage reclaim area, main terminal and concourses B and C; a bakery and Chinese eatery on Concourse B; and a bagel café on Concourse D.

Shopping mainly consists of bookshops, newsagents, gift shops and a florist. The North Satellite’s business centre is useful for business travellers who need to use internet, fax or photocopying services while on the move, while regular passengers may prefer to use the internet kiosk in the main terminal.

The easiest way to access the city of Seattle is to rental a car at Seattle Airport for the short ride downtown. I-5 and I-405 are both connected to the airport. Car rental outlets can be found in the arrivals areas of the airport but make sure you reserve a vehicle online in advance for the best deal on Seattle Airport car rental.

Once in the city, most attractions can be reached with ease by Seattle Airport rental car including the Space Needle, a 180-metre high landmark with a lofty observation deck. Also not to be missed is the Seattle Art Museum with its fine collection of paintings and objects.
