Orlando Sanford Airport is located in Sanford, Florida. Although it is called the Orlando Sanford Airport, it is not in Orlando, but just near it. However, this is not an airport that started off for public use. This is an airport that was constructed for a military installation, which was known as the Naval Air Station Sanford. Soon after that, however, it was turned into the Sanford International Airport. This is one of the busiest airports in the world, but this does not just do to the passengers that fly in and out of this airport. It has more to do with the heavy amount of flight training that goes on at this airport. Every year this airport is among the top 30 busiest airports in the world. However, it is only in terms of landings and takeoffs.

Of course there are a lot of people that do choose to fly into this airport. Of course more people tend to choose to fly into the Orlando International Airport because its located a lot closer to attraction areas like Disney World and Universal Studios Florida. That is the main reason why the Orlando International Airport is still the primary airport in that area. Now matter what happens, the Sanford Airport is going to remain one of the busiest in the world, due to all the training that takes place there. As more people see that this airport is still pretty close to the attraction it will soon be able to take some of the load of people that fly into Orlando.
