Just this Wednesday, AirTran announced that it will begin services from Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport to both Pittsburgh and Indianapolis. Then starting on October 6, AirTran wants to have more services from Milwaukee to Denver as well.
AirTran is set to offer one flight daily from Mitchell to Indianapolis International Airport, as well as Pittsburgh International Airport. Then, with the Milwaukee to Denver Intentional Airport flights, they want to add a second daily flight.
On top of this announcement, AirTran also said that the seasonal service from Milwaukee to Phoenix, as well as to Fort Lauderdale, will now be returning. These routes are set to return to service as of November 19 of this year.
The senior vice president of AirTran, Kevin Healy, said that AirTran is connecting these important business and leisure markets together, and doing it for a low cost. However, AirTran also wants to ensure all of its passengers that they can expect high quality service as well on their all Boeing jet operations. Kevin Healy went on to say that, by offering these affordable business class options, AirTran is raising the bar for other airlines.
Some of the things that people will enjoy on these AirTran flights, as well as other flights, include things like complimentary XM Satellite Radio and in-flight internet. These are things that people would not expect to get from a low cost airline.
Come October, AirTran will be offering 36 flights to 19 different cities. This is a big step for AirTran, but they feel it is a step in the right direction.
