It now seems that the would be terrorist, who just recently tried to blow up a United States jet on Christmas Day, has revealed that there are many more just like him that are currently being trained by al-Qaeda. The want to be bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, told agents that were questioning him that he was one of many bombers being groomed by al-Qaeda to attack America.

His words came just after al-Qaeda came forward and actually claimed responsibility for the failed bombing. A statement on an extremist website said that the attack was in retaliation for the United States-backed raids on December 17^th on its militants in Yemen. During these raids it is reported that at least 60 people were killed. The statement continued say that they want to tell the American people that, since they support the leaders who killed their women and children, they are going to slaughter them and strike without any kind of warning.

This news comes just after the United States President, Barack Obama, vowed not to rest until the terrorists were tracked down. He said that America will continue to use every element of their national power to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat the violent extremists who threaten them. Whether the extremists are hiding in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, or anywhere else in the world, they will be found.

The UK Home Secretary, Alan Johnson, said that he does not think the would be bomber was acting alone. An investigation is currently being launched in Holland where the Northwest Airlines flight stopped before heading to Detroit. It was here that a man was allegedly seen with Abdulmutallab before he boarded the plane.
