It now seems that the well known airline, American Airlines, has just offered some great news for frequent filers. Apparently the airline is now offering frequent fliers the chance to book short flights for 17,500 miles each way. This is nearly one third less than what it would usually take to book the same flight. This means that more people will have a chance to use up some of their miles before the summer season passes them by.
American Airlines went on to say this past Tuesday that the offer lasts until Aug 31 for travel up to December 15. The offer is good for flights on American Airlines, as well as American Eagle and American Connection. Passengers should keep in mind that the flights need to be nonstop and under 700 miles each way. The flights also have to be within the United States and Canada.
The airline went on to give an example of a flight that would qualify for this new deal. This would include flights from New York to Boston, Los Angeles to San Francisco, and Dallas to Denver. These are all pretty popular flights, and this is just a few of the options that people have open to them.
Redeeming miles can be difficult with airlines running almost nearly full loads all summer. American Airlines did note that its current offer is going to be subjected to seat availability. The airline made no promises that people will be able to get a free ticket to where they want to go. However, for some passengers, this could be the deal of a life time.
