Avis Nigeria has scooped the car rental firm’s We Try Harder Award which is given to branches of Avis that excel in providing excellent service to its customers. The award was picked up by Avis Nigeria at an awards ceremony held as part of the recent Avis Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa Country Conference. The conference took place in Istanbul and followed the theme of resilience through times of crisis. Chief executive of Avis Europe, Pascal Bazin joined other Avis delegates from sixty-eight countries for the four-day event.

Among the 201 delegates were three members of the Avis Nigeria team. Managing director of Avis Nigeria, Kolawole Ogunbajo attended alongside regional manager, Chukwuma Osuji and hotel relationship executive, Oluwafunmilayo Gbadebo.

On collecting the award Mr. Ogunbajo said that it reflected the hard work that everyone at Avis Nigeria had put in to try and make the company the best car hire firm in the country. He went on to say that he was delighted that Avis recognized that its exemplary standards were being maintained and rolled out to customers through Avis Nigeria.

Avis Nigeria started off with a single car rental office in Lagos in 2007. The car hire firm has since grown throughout Nigeria to include offices not only in the countries capital of Abuja but also Enugu Owerri, Uyo and Asaba, Benin, Warri, Harcourt and Calabar. It is continuing to grow its presence throughout Nigeria and says that it is implementing the most up to date information technology in order to provide the best service to its ever growing customer base.
