The owner of a luxury car hire firm has been released on bail but told to return to court to face charges of trying to swindle creditors out of their money. Thirty-three year old Koroush Pour has been accused of knowingly carrying on a fraudulent business whereby he financed the luxury cars through both Lombard North Central PLC and through money obtained from his own customers.

Pour has pleaded not guilty to the charges that he knowingly carried on a fraudulent car rental business and says that he never intentionally defrauded his creditors. Pour has already appeared at the City of London Magistrates Court where he was told that he had been accused of swindling £750,000 out of investors through his Kensington based car rental company Swift Hire Ltd. He also stands accused of swindling a retired couple out of an additional £150,000.

Swift Hire Ltd was a firm that gave customers the chance to drive away with luxury vehicles such as Bentleys and Lamborghinis. The British police have been investigating the Iranian born Irish citizen for eight months now and he will reappear in front of a magistrate on 23rd November. He has been released on bail on condition that he remains at his address in Ireland until his court appearance.
