It now seems that travelers who will be going to the east cost during Labor Day week need to use caution, according to reports. This goes double for beaches that are along Hurricane Earls path. Tourists should check road conditions and confirm their lodging plans before they start heading out.

As of noon last Friday, the evacuation that was ordered for parts of North Carolina’s Outer Banks was finally lifted. Towns including Duck, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Manteo, Nags Head and Southern Shores were open again. However, some experts say that visitors still need to use caution when visiting these areas. Authorities did go on to note that this does not mean that visitors should call of their vacations.

A bulletin from emergency officials said that visitors planning to travel to Dare County should first consult with their accommodations provider to confirm their lodging reservations first. Although the main threat has past, there are some hotels that may have taken damage and may be closed for clean up.

Greer Beaty, the communications director for North Carolina’s Department of Transportation, said that there is no evacuation order in place down there. and they hope that people will be able to enjoy their weekend and their upcoming week. People should be able to see nothing but beautiful weather for quite some time now.

Recent reports have been showing that people are not just enjoying the Labor Day weekend this year. Due to the fact that so many people missed out on their vacation last year, a lot of people are choosing to enjoy a Labor Day week. This is great news for the travel industry in the United States.
