New reports have come in to show that Continental Airlines has announced that it will be expanding its Hawaii service. This expansion is set to take place in March of next year and will offer more options for travelers heading to Hawaii.

Continental Airlines’ new service will be between Honolulu International Airport and the John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. It is said that this new service will operate about four times a week. On top of this, Continental Airlines will also bee adding a new daily flight from Maui’s Kahului Airport to Los Angeles International Airport.

The carrier says that it will offer a second daily flight between Honolulu and Los Angeles as well. Right now Continental Airlines currently has flights that serve Hawaii from New York. These flights are offered daily.

Many experts have pointed out that it is nice to see airlines choosing to add new flights. This comes just on the heels of many airlines choosing to cut services to many places in light of the recession. Many travelers have changed their travel habits in order to save money. Now that airlines, like Continental Airlines, are starting to add new flights again, it could be a sign that the recession is starting to draw towards a close.

However, it could still be some time before airlines see a full recovery. This is due to the fact that the recession has changed the way that people choose to travel. Many people refuse to pay for overpriced tickets nowadays, which use to be the norm in the airline industry.
