Apparently the well known airline Delta Air Lines has just recently blamed a paperwork mix up for the company sending two kids to the wrong destinations. This is, of course, a mistake that has caused a lot uproar from different groups and local communities.

The airline said that the the children were connecting through Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport this past Tuesday. This was all part of the airline’s unaccompanied minor program. However, because of a paperwork swap, one of the kids ended up in Cleveland instead of Boston, while a girl was sent to Boston instead of Cleveland.

Despite this mix up, the airline said that the kids were in no danger at any time. In fact, the airline said that the kids were always under airline supervision during the whole mix up.

Paul Skrbec, a Delta Air Lines spokesman, went on to call the situation exceedingly rare. It is a mistake that the airline is going to take very seriously. The airline would like to go on to apologize to the families and to the kids as well. The children were sent to their final destination at no extra cost to the family. The airline even went as far as to arrange a full refund for the kids’ tickets and provided credits to the families for future trips.

Although the families seem to be fine with the way Delta Air Lines handled the event, other experts are not so pleased. A few critics have thrown into question the airline’s whole unaccompanied minor program. They went on to say that this whole mix up could have turned out a lot worse.

Despite this, other experts back up the airline saying that it was a simple mistake. Human error is something that can never be completely done away with, and the airline was able to correct their mistake and make everyone happy.
