It now seems that the very popular theme parks in both Florida and California, the Disney Theme Parks, will be raising their ticket prices. This means that, in order to taste a little bit of their magic, travelers are going to have to give up the big bucks.

According to reports, Disneyland (California) and Disney World (Florida) will see their admission tickets rise as of Thursday this week. The well known theme park company announced these changes this past Tuesday on its blog.

Thus, the cost for a one day ticket to go to Walt Disney World will go up to $82. This is an increase of $3. The next six day pass will be $242, or about $40.33 a day. This is up from the current $38.50 a day that people can enjoy now. The park hopper add-on will also increase. This is set to increase $2, meaning that it will cost park-goers about $54.

In Disneyland, the price increase is a bit bigger. The base price for a one day ticket will go from $72 to $76. This is an increase of $4 per ticket. The savings and discounts are available in a variety of packages at this park. The one day park hopper pass will be $101, which is up from the current $97.

Parking at the Disneyland Resort is also going to be going up a dollar. Thus, it will now cost $15 a day to park at the resort. The tickets that are bought through Wednesday will be honored at the old price until January 3rd. Although the increase in ticket prices seems small, for a big family, this could add up quickly.
