Reports have now confirmed that the aerospace giant Boeing has officially announced that their very long anticipated arrival of the Dreamliner has been pushed back yet again. This time the plane has been push back until next year due to further complications.

This latest problem, in a long series of setbacks, means that the Dreamliner has now suffered almost two years of delays since the project first launched. Japan’s All Nippon Airways was the first carrier to place an order. They were schedule to take delivery of the first plane by the end of this year. However, this will more than likely be taking place February of next year.

Right now the Boeing 787 Dreamliner is currently in its testing phase. Just last month, Boeing hinted at the possibility of the Dreamliner being pushed back until 2011. However, this has now finally been confirmed and is yet just another big disappointment for the airline industry.

There are a few different problems that have caused the delay of the plane. Some of these problem include supplier workmanship issues related to the horizontal stabilizer, as well as instrumentation delays.

In a recent statement a spokeswoman for Boeing, Yvone Leach, said that the company is working closely with Rolls Royce to expedite engine availability. She went on to add that the first testing continues as planned.

Overall, the 787 is made of many composite materials designed to make it a lot more lighter. This, of course, will make the plane more fuel efficient than other comparable planes that are already in the sky. Hopefully this will be the last delay that Boeing has to make on the plane. If it’s not, airlines may start pulling back their orders.
