It now seems that the well known carrier, Jetblue Airways, is set to increase the number of routes it offers from Boston to Baltimore among other places. This increase is suppose to be welcoming 32 nonstop destinations and 20 connecting cities from JetBlue Airways, which is Boston’s largest domestic carrier.
The carrier went on to announce five daily nonstop flights from Boston to Baltimore’s Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. This will actually represent one of the airline’s newest destinations on its growing route network. The new routes between the two big cities will begin March 1, 2010. Then on September 9, 2010, JetBlue Airways will launch a new service to Baltimore with four daily flights to complement its existing six daily flights.
The vice president of network planning for JetBlue Airways, Scott Laurence, said that the customers in Baltimore have discovered what those in Boston have already known for years. This is the fact that JetBlue Airways offers more than just an unassigned seat and a big handful of peanuts. He went on to say that the airline has won five straight J.D. Power awards for customer service. The airline also provides customers with more legroom, unlimited free snacks and drinks, and preassigned leather seats on brand new planes.
He also pointed out that JetBlue Airways offers 36 channels of DirectTV programming and more than 100 channels of XM Satellite radio. This is all available by way of the personal seat back screens. This TV is always on and always free. Now customers in Baltimore can enjoy the same kind of service that people in Boston have been getting for years.
