For travelers who are looking for great prices on last minute getaways, JetBlue may have just what they are looking for. Currently, JetBlue is celebrating its 10th birthday with a $10 one-day fare sale. This deal is good for flights from New York to the airline’s original 10 destinations.
Some of the flights that are included in the JetBlue deal, which has been called the Thank You Fare promotion, include Tampa, Orlando, East Palm Beach and Fort Myers, among others. The airline does plan to roll out a series of monthly deals to mark the beginning of its second decade.
JetBlue will also be announcing, very soon, the giveaway for New York-based customers on Twitter. Robin Hayes, the airline’s chief commercial officer said that they are excited to kick things off in their own backyard with these $10 fares. Of course, these fares are going to be given out on a first come first serve basis.
So this great deal does bring up a great question. Why is JetBlue choosing to give its customs something on its birthday? Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Experts in the airline industry say that this is a marketing attempt to get more people flying with JetBlue. This is a really cheap deal and a chance for the airline to get more loyal customers.
The truth of the matter is that this deal is just as beneficial to JetBlue as it is to the customers. Right now airlines are doing whatever they can to make sure that customers are choosing their airlines over others. This includes offering up amazing deals.
