Flights get canceled for many different reasons. Sometimes it’s due to weather, and sometimes it is due to mechanical problems. However, most people have never heard of a flight being canceled due to a fight between stewardesses. Just recently, however, a heated altercation between two airline stewardesses caused a flight to be canceled as it was about to take off.
The captain of the plane ordered all passengers to disembark just after the two female crew members got into a spat. The flight was suppose to leave from Rochester, New York and fly to Atlanta, Georgia. One passenger on the plane, Steve Mazur, said that they apparently got into a fistfight on the plane. Thus, the pilot decided to kick everyone off.
Another passenger, Corey Minot, said that they told everyone that they had to get off the plane, because stewardesses were fighting. A spokesman for Pinnacle Airlines said that the argument broke out as the plane was returning to its gate after a passenger felt ill. There was no physical contact between the two women despite what others may have said, the spokesman continued. The fight between the two was completely a verbal disagreement, he added, and this is something that can sometimes happen in the workplace from time to time.
Despite the fact that there was no physical contact, the stewardesses have been removed from duty pending an airline investigation. The flight was canceled, but alternative travel plans were made for the passengers. The spokesman said that no one was hurt, but the acts that were described are not acceptable by the airline’s standards.
