Well soon, for some air passengers, things that use to be free will no longer be so. This includes some things like using the bathroom. Some airlines, like Ryanair, are now announcing details of their plans to charge passengers to use the toilet.

Ryanair, which is a company that is based in Dublin, is going to charge its passengers to use the bathroom. The company will be charging either 1 euro or 1 pound for using the bathroom on flights that last one hour or less.

The airline went on to say that it is working with Boeing to develop a coin operated door release so that, when people need to use the bathroom, all they have to do is deposit their change. This would be easier than having to pay a cabin crew member and then having them unlock the door.

The main idea behind the pay to pee rule, or at least according to Ryanair, is to encourage people to use the restroom before they board the plane. As part of this plan, and more likely the real reason why Ryanair wants people to stop peeing on the plane, the carrier is going to remove two to three bathrooms from some of its planes.

So why does Ryanair want these bathrooms gone. Well with the empty space on the planes that is left open, the carrier plans on filling these spots with yet more seats. It’s all a plan to jam even more people onto one plane. This news comes just after Ryanair also started to charge people to carry bags onto the plane as well.
