Aviation security specialist ICTS has been chosen by the management at Bristol International Airport to be in charge of security as of January next year. ICTS was chosen from a shortlist of security providers and will now work alongside the airport team in developing security as well as passenger satisfaction.

ICTS already has a presence at Bristol International because it looks after security for both TUI and Continental Airlines. Director of operations at Bristol International Airport, Paul Davies said that he was delighted that ICTS had been chosen to extend their role at the airport. He went on to say that although security was paramount it was as important that passengers at the airport felt that they were being treated in a friendly yet professional way.

U.K. managing director at ICTS, Shaike Rozanski echoed Davies’ sentiments saying that he was extremely pleased that the security firm would be able to extend its relationship with the team at Bristol where it has been working with individual clients for the past three years. Rozanski also said that he was sure that ICTS would be able to meet any challenges that the future of airport security might offer.

ICTS already has operations at airports across Europe including Paris Charles de Gaulle and Frankfurt. It is expected that the company will provide job opportunities at Bristol International Airport as it expands to take more passengers. Currently there are a total of seven security search channels at the airport but plans are in place to add another five.
