Car hire company Sixt Rent A Car has signed an agreement with Oman Air which will enable members of the airline’s Sindbad Frequent Flyer Programme to earn air miles whenever they rent a vehicle from the car rental firm. Sixt will offer Sindbad members access to rental vehicles at over 4,000 locations in more than 100 countries. Members of the Oman Air frequent flyer club will earn themselves 500 miles whenever they rent a vehicle through Sixt. Those who make use of the Sixt limousine service will earn themselves 1.000 air miles. There are further special offers and discounts for those who take advantage of Oman’s partnership with Sixt depending on which level of the Sindbad programme they are a member of. Those who are in the gold category are eligible for an automatic upgrade on their car rental when they turn up to collect their vehicle at the Sixt office.

Mohammed Mubarak al Shikely, Oman Air’s senior marketing manager said that as the airline expands it wants to develop partnerships around the world with companies that will be able to offer its Sindbad members a better travel experience. He went on to say that he believed that Sixt was one such company and that he believed together they could come up with a range of deals that would suit the airline’s frequent flyers.

As a celebration of the new partnership Sixt says that it will be awarding double Sindbad miles to all members who hire a car through them up until December 31st.
