It now seems that United States scientists may be able to reduce the amount of vacations and trips that people feel they need to take on any given year. This is because they have now come up with a drug that can help calm animals down after being stressed out. In fact, the drug has been proven to help zebras calm down after being chased by hungry lions. This drug is now believed to be able to help people cope with stressful situations in everyday life.
These scientists from California are working on a single injection that will help people stay relaxed without having to slow down. In other words, these scientists have made a drug that will allow people to continue working without having to get stressed out. It would be the worlds first vaccine for stress.
This quest to get rid of stress is being led by Dr Robert Sapolsky. He is a professor of neuroscience at Stanford University. After 30 years, he is now able to alter the brain’s chemistry to allow the brain to be more focused on being calm.
Dr Sapolsky went on to say that he was on the path to a genetically engineered alternative to yoga and friends having to remind people to relax. Chronic stress is linked to illnesses that range from diabetes to heart attacks.
In fact, that is one of the main reasons why people are told to take vacations. People who take vacations stay less stressed out and, therefore, are healthier people. However, this new drug could help keep people less stressed even between their vacations. However, this is not a pill that should replace vacations. People still have to find other ways to be able to deal with their stress.
